Fitting
Tara Tango Shoes are designed to fit. How do we do this? We designed a special "last" modeled on a real woman's foot. The toe box is roomy and shaped to accommodate those "dancer's toes" (bunions and all!). The shoe is a little wider than a normal "B" width. Because the leathers are supple and will stretch slightly, the shoe should fit snugly, but not uncomfortably so.
Soles
Tara Tango Shoes are made with hard leather soles, not the "chrome" or "split suede" soles of a typical ballroom shoe. We have discovered that a hard leather sole gives dancers the speed necessary for the successful execution of pivots and ochos in Argentine Tango while also offering sufficient grip on the floor necessary at times in ballroom dance. These shoes can also be worn on the street. |
